FC Goa Tickets Prices

The Fatorda Stadium at Margaon, officially called the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Goa, acts as the home stadium for FC Goa with a capacity of just under 25000 spectators and tickets to the ground have become more expensive this yer. FC Goa have come out with seven price points for their tickets. The lowest one is available at Rs 250 for the North and South lower stand, then at Rs 499 for the North and South upper stand and East lower stand, at Rs 900 for East upper stand, then at Rs 1400 for the West upper stand, at Rs 5000 for the Hospitality Box Seat, Rs. 8000 for the West Premium Hospitality (VVIP) seats and the costliest one available at Rs 50,000 for the Corporate boxes.

The team are arguably the best coached side in the Indian Super League. Brazil legend Zico has been in charge of the side since the inception of the ISL and will remain in charge for the third successive season. FC Goa were semi-finalists in the inaugural edition of the tournament and went on to make the final in ISL 2. They were beaten by Channaiyin FC in the final last year.

Zico will now make a concerted attempt at wrestling the title of Chennaiyin FC this time around. The man has experience of coaching in Europe and international football, most notably with Japan, and could make a real difference.

The side has made one key addition this season in a domestic transfer with Indian international Robin Singh swapping Delhi Dynamos FC for Goa this season. Marquee defender Lucio, formerly of Bayern Munich and Inter Milan, will continue with the side for the second successive season. Goalkeeper Subhasish Roy Chowdhury will also add more experience to the team.

Denzil Franco, Gregory Arnolin, Joffre, Romeo Fernandes and the Brazilian contingent of Reinaldo, Julio Cesar, Rafael Coelho, Richarlyson and Matheus Trindade will all figure in key roles in the third edition of the tournament.

The ISL has come a long way since its inception. Matches had become more tactical last year but at the same time, plenty of goals were fired in. One can expect even more improvement as we head into a brand new season.

With the start just around the corner the football crazy Goan public is sure to be thrilled at this announcement being made. I suspect of all the stadiums hosting the tournament, percentage wise this will be filled the most. The team played some great football last season and under a manager of Zico’s caliber one can only expect them to improve.
