This time, the tournament has been split across three venues – Bangalore, Mysore and Hubli. The Karnataka Premier League tickets are available online on BookmyShow. The kpl tickets online price range from Rs 50 – 100. Sony is official broadcaster for the Karnataka Premier League.

The defending champions are Bellary Tuskers defeated Hubli Tigers by 35 runs last season to lift their maiden trophy.

The tournament was first launched back in 2009 and has gone many changes since then. Following a three year hiatus, the league was re-introduced in 2014 and has been continuing since then. The seven franchises that will be featured this year include – Bijapur Bulls, Bengaluru Blasters, Mysuru Warriors, Hubli Tigers, Bellary Tuskers, Namma Shivamogga and Belgavi Panthers. Unlike the previous season Mangalore United and Rockstars won’t be taking part this season.

Similar to the Indian Premier League, an auction was conducted right before the tournament, giving the franchises a chance to revamp their squads. Each team was allowed to retain a maximum of four players. KPL 2017 squad can at most include 18 players per team.

The tournament has already made a huge impact on the cricket in the state, giving the local talents a chance to showcase their skills. With the likes of KC Cariappa and Shivil Kaushik making it to the Indian Premier League, the coming editions will only reveal from talented players.
