The Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi will host the home matches for this franchise. With a capacity of 70,000 spectators, the side will have the most number of supporters backing them from the sidelines.

While the Kerala Blasters did not have a great start to the ISL Draft, they managed to build on it and have accumulated a reasonable-looking squad heading into the fourth season of the ISL. New head coach Rene Meulensteen and assistant coach Thangboi Singto will be reasonably pleased with what they have for this ISL season.

Earlier they had retained Sandesh Jhingan and CK Vineeth from the previous season and that meant they were allowed to pick players from the third pick during the Draft. They brought in Eugeneson Lyngdoh with an instant trading request after ATK had selected them during the draft.

Some of the other domestic players who were brought in for this season were Rino Anto, Lalruatthara, Arata Izumi, Jackichand Singh, Lalthakima, Pritam Kumar Singh, Loken Meitei and Ajith Sivan.

What happened in ISL 3

Former Fulham FC defender Aaron Hughes was brought in as the marquee player for ISL 3. Hughes formed a fantastic central defensive partnership alongside Brede Hangeland in his heyday in the English Premier League. In season three of the ISL, he formed a partnership with French defender Cedric Hengbart.

The side also signed up Rino Anto for ISL 3 after the wing back moved from Atletico de Kolkata after a single season. Anto had the capability to join the attack from the back and was an able defender. Sandesh Jhingan was also a part of the Kerala Blasters squad in the tournament alongside Anto and Gurwinder Singh in the defence.

Mehtab Hossain, Ishfaq Ahmed, Mohammed Rafique, C.K. Vineeth, Mohammed Rafi and Thongkhosiem Haokip were some of the other Indian players who featured for the Kerala Blasters last season.

The Blasters retained English forward Michael Chopra after some decent performances previous season. Antonio German and Josue were also held back following some very good performances in ISL 2. The team went on to sign up for Graham Stack, Azrack Mahamat, Didier Boris Kadio, Elhadji Ousseynou Ndoye and Duckens Nazon for their roster for season three of the ISL. ISL 2017 Kerala Blasters team players list is placed below.
